Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026. These terms govern your use of Deckly, operated from Johannesburg, South Africa by Deckly ("we"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Deckly lets you turn slide decks into interactive live sessions. Features and plan limits are described on our pricing page and may change over time.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be able to form a binding contract under South African law.

Your content

You keep ownership of the decks and materials you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload and for how you use participant data you collect during sessions.

Acceptable use

  • Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.
  • Do not use Deckly to collect data from minors without proper consent.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed as recurring subscriptions through PayFast. Prices are shown in US dollars and charged in South African Rand at the prevailing conversion rate at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel to stop future renewals; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details. Failure to pay may result in your plan reverting to Free.

Availability

We aim to keep Deckly available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change or be discontinued.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by South African law, Deckly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
